SCOTS SHARE 16TH PLACE IN FALDO SERIES GRAND FINAL

Cameron Adam (Royal Burgess) and Switzerland-based Scot's daughter Cameron Neilson shared 16th place overall on one-over-par 71 at the end of the first round of the 21st Faldo Series Grand Final tournament in Dubai.

In the various categories, Adam is third in the Under-16 boys and Neilson third in the U16 girls.

Jennifer Rankine (Haggs Castle), pictured, the 2016 Scottish schoolgirls champion, shot a 72 to be joint 23rd overall in the mixed field of 57 competitors. She is joint second in the U21 girls' section.

Campbell Gibson (Blairgowrie) shared 28th place overall and ninth in the U18 boys after a 74.

Charlie Salter (England) and Daniel Gale (Australia) were joint leaders overall with four-under-par 66s, one stroke ahead of England's Harry Butler and Nathan Longley.
