Bjork, Ormsby, Chawrasia share third-round

lead at Hong Kong Open

Alexander Björk and Wade Ormsby joined SSP Chawrasia at the top of the leaderboard as things tightened up on day three of the UBS Hong Kong Open.
Indian Chawrasia held a two-shot lead coming into the weekend and extended that to three in the early stages before being reeled in by Swede Björk and Australian Ormsby at nine under.
Newly-crowned Race to Dubai Champion Tommy Fleetwood and Spaniard Rafa Cabrera Bello were then at eight under at Hong Kong Golf Club, a shot clear of English pair Chris Hanson and Justin Rose.
Cabrera Bello took advantage of the par five third, birdied the seventh and when he rolled a slippery eight-footer down the hill on the eighth, he was six under.
Englishman Hanson hit a smart approach into the seventh to add to gains on the first, third and fourth, and Björk birdied the first to also sit three off the lead.
Björk made it a birdie-birdie start as he put his tee-shot to tap-in range on the second and Hanson put his close on the eighth to join him at seven under.
Cabrera Bello had been flying but a bogey on the ninth stalled his momentum as he turned in 32.
Last season's runner-up bounced back brilliantly as he holed his second on the tenth for an eagle but he could not keep pace with Björk who became the latest man to capitalise on the third and moved to eight under.
Chawrasia was forced to lay up on the par five but it made no difference as the 39 year old made his birdie to get into double-figures, with Björk bogeying the fourth to make it a three-shot lead.

Cabrera Bello set about narrowing that with a smart tee-shot on the 12th and when he birdied the par five 13th for the third day in a row, he was one back.
Hanson also made the most of the par five to get to eight under before Björk holed a five-footer on the seventh to join him.
Ormsby had birdied the third, sixth and tenth and when he put his tee-shot to ten feet on the 12th, we was in the group two off the lead.
Fleetwood had top billing when he arrived this week but had gone about his business quietly on the course and that continued on Saturday as he turned in 33 with a birdie on the third.
A long putt from the back of the tenth green handed him an eagle on the tenth, howver, and a birdie on the 13th put him in that group at eight under.
Both par fives were very gettable and Ormsby was the next player to make a gain on the 13th to move him to nine under.
Björk birdied the tenth from four feet to also sit in that group and when Chawrasia failed to get up and down from the sand on the ninth, that was good enough for a share of the lead.
Cabrera Bello then went over the back on the 17th to drop a shot and he was alongside Fleetwood one off the lead.
Rose turned in 33 before a hat-trick of gains from the 12th moved him up the leaderboard, with Hanson dropping a shot on the 15th.
Thomas Detry, Dylan Frittelli, Paul Peterson and Poom Saksansin were at six under.
Blairgowrie's Bradley Neil is T62 with rounds of 71, 71 and 71 for 214.
