McDonald finishes joint ninth, Young T24 in 

Alps Tour Grand Final

Jack McDonald finished joint ninth in the Alps Tour Grand Final after being joint leader with a 65 in the first round at Golf Club des Iles Borromees, Italy.
The Ayrshireman's scores got higher with every round - 65, 69, 70 and 72 - and his final total of eight-under-par 276 saw him finish six shots behind the amateur winner, Adria Arnaud (Spain) who scored 69, 70, 66 and 65 for 270. Arnaud is No 25 in the world amateur rankings.
McDonald earned 1,250 euros.
Perth's Daniel Young also deteriorated after starting with a 67. He added rounds  of 70, 74 and 71 for a joint 24th place finish on 282 and earned 557 euros.
Adria Arnaus ended the season in sparkling form coming from five shots behind 
to take the Grand Final title and create history as the first amateur to win the 
Alps Tour Order of Merit.

Congratulations to Adria Arnaus of Spain, Ugo Coussaud and Antoine Rozner
 of France, Lars Van Meijel of the Netherlands and Robin Roussel of France 
who will all be playing on the Challenge Tour next season.
