Inverness GC members 1-2-3 at Boat of Garten GC

DAVID JOEL'S TWO-IN-A-ROW

NORTH SCOTTISH ALLIANCE WINS 

David Joel (Inverness) secured back-to-back victories with a second consecutive round of 65 in Saturday's North Scottish Golfers' Alliance  fixture at Boat of Garten.

Inverness Golf Club members filled the first three places as Joel, pictured, headed a field of 89 competitors by three strokes, thanks to birdies at the fourth, fifth, 10th, 11th, 15th and 16th, offset by a solitary bogey at the second. He had halves of 33 and 32 in his five-under-par round.

Runner-up Bruce Thomson had six birdies, one more than the winner, but he also had four bogeys.

Third placed Jonathon Keith had three birdies and two bogeys in his 69.

Ross Harrower, playing over his home course, was the highest finishing professional, his par 70 earning him fourth place.
