Scotland overpowered by England in singles at schoolboys' international at Troon Darley

Scotland were well beaten 14-4 by England in the schoolboys' golf international at Troon Darley today (Monday).
The Scots trailed by only 1pt after the six morning foursomes (3.5-2.5) but were hammered 10.5-1.5 in the 12 afternoon singles.
Seven of the singles went to the 18th green but only local Ayrshire lad, Cameron Johnstone (Marr College) won an afternoon tie for Scotland.
Cameron Adam (Merchiston Castle School) halved his singles.
In fairness to the Scots, it was one of the youngest Scotland boys' teams to be fielded in this annual international.
