Paul Shields slips to third place at Q School
Paul Shields (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) dropped down from the pole position to third place with a second-round 70 for 135 at the European Tour Qualifying School Section B Stage 1 competition at Stoke by Nayland Golf Club, Essex today.
Joint leaders, one shot ahead of the Scot, are England's Jamie Abbot (67-67) and Philip Eriksson (Sweden) (67-67)
Michael Stewart (Troon Welbeck) (70-73) and John Henry (Clydebank and Dist) (71-72) are sharing 37th place on 143.
Sean Lawrie (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) is joint 55th on 145 (71-74).
Only the top 20 at the end of four rounds will advance to Stage 2/
