Bradley Neil top Scot in   Challenge Tour Stableford   EUROPEAN TOUR COMMUNICATIONS Joel Girrbach fired his way to the summit of the Bridgestone Challenge leaderboard with nine birdies earning him 16 points in the first round at Luton Hoo, Hotel Golf and Spa. This week’s tournament is breaking new ground on the European Challenge Tour by becoming the first event in the Tour’s history to use a Modified Stableford format. Switzerland’s Girrbach took full advantage of the new points system immediately by carding seven birdies over the front nine – which took him to 13 points after one bogey.
