Frank Coutts to become Captain of PGA in

Scotland in March 2019

Deeside Golf Club's  Director of Golf Frank Coutts has accepted an invitation to become Captain of the PGA in Scotland.
Frank will serve the next two years as vice-captain to John Mulgrew, assuming the role of Captain of PGA in Scotland for a subsequent two years in March 2019.


As Captain, Frank will be the leading public figure in the PGA in Scotland,  playing a representative role on behalf of all PGA professionals in Scotland, including attendance at various events such as prizegivings and dinners.

Past Captains of the PGA in Scotland include David Huish, Jack Steven, Willie Milne, Bill Lockie, John Chillas and Campbell Elliott. 

Said Deeside club captain Scott Kelman:
"This is a huge accolade for Frank, adding to a long list of his achievements in the game and his service to the game over many years being recognised by his professional peers.
"When he assumes the post at the AGM in 2019, Frank will become the first Captain of the PGA in Scotland from the Aberdeen area."
