Innes v Greig in Sunday's Aberdeen Links
championship final
There will be a new name on the Aberdeen Links Championship Trophy after Sunday afternoon's final between Bryan Innes (Murcar Links) and Matty Greig (Bon Accord).

Innes, pictured, in the field because the entry was widened to members of Aberdeen and District Pennant League clubs this year, was level through 14, then birdied the par 5 15th and par 3 16th to go two up.
The semi-final finished on 17th green where Innes knocked it stiff and Craig could not get down in three.
Grieg was three up after 10 against clubmate and several times Links champion, Barrie Edmond, and he maintained that advantage to win by 3 and 2.

In the Handicap Shield, Graeme Robertson (Northern) beat David Forbes – the Caley captain – 2 and 1by  holing from off the green for a winning birdie 3 at the 17th. Robertson will play Caley's Graeme Meade who beat Justin Thomas (Bon Accord) by 4 and 3.
In the Murray Cup, defending champion Jackie Forrest (Northern) beat Kings Links greenkeeper Ross Duncan (Bon Accord) 5 and 4 to feature in the final two years running. His opponent on Sunday will be Murcar Links' Paul Kane who had a 6 and 5 win over Brook Smith (Caledonian) in the other semi-final.
