O'Neil heads seven Scots qualifiers in EuroPro

Conor O'Neil (Mearns Castle Golf Academy) heads the seven Scots who survived the second-round cut in the EuroPro Tour event, the Eagle Orchid Scottish Masters at Montrose Links today.
O'Neil had an eight-birdie second round of six-under 65, one better than his opening score and he is sharing the lead with two Englishman on 11-under 131, Chris Lloyd (Kendleshire) and Daniel Wasteney.
Other Scots through to the third round are John Gallagher (67-135), Craig Lawrie (68-136), Michael Stewart (72-136), John Mullaney (68-137), Ryan Campbell (66-137) and Zack Saltman (71-137).
Sean Lawrie missed the cut to the leading 50 players by one shot after bogeying the last two holes for a 71 and 131. Two other Paul Lawrie Golf Centre players, Paul Shields (70 69) and Greig Hutcheon (69-70) also missed out on the last-round money.
