Clarihew wins Jaffray Cup over home course

Scott Clarihew (Turriff) made the most of "local knowledge" to win the North-east District match-play championship for the Jaffray Cup over his home course today (Sunday).

Clarihew, pictured, beat Corin Stewart (Murcar Links) 5 and 4 in the final.

In the morning semi-finals, Clarihew beat John Godward (McDonald Ellon) 2 and 1, and Stewart beat Clark Brechin (Portlethen) by two holes in the other tie.
