Laird and Owen in the California mix

Scotland's Martin Laird and England's Greg Owen are sharing sixth place with American left-hander Phil Mickelson after two rounds of the US PGA Tour's Career Builder Challenge tournament at La Quinta, California.
Laird and Mickelson have both had rounds of 68 and 66 for 134, Owen a pair of 67s.
American Hudson Swaffer, with a pair of 65s, has taken over the lead from Dominic Bozzelli (64-67) who shares second place with New Zealander Danny Lee (67-64) on 131.
England's Paul Casey is T13 on 136 with scores of 67 and 69
