Stephen Gallacher ties for 10th place
American Varner wins Aussie PGA title
Harold Varner III has won the 2016 Australian PGA Championship after rounds of 65, 72, 67 and 65 for a total of 19-under par 269 at Royal Pines Resort, Queensland's Gold Coast venue.
Going one better this year, Varner has claimed the title, marking his first top level professional win.
Andrew Dodt, who held the overnight lead for three rounds, has finished with a closing round three under par to take outright second at 17-under par.
Queenslander and countryman Adam Scott carded his best round of the week, a five under 67, taking him to 15-under par and outright third.
Stephen Gallacher shot a 69 in the final round to tie for 10th place with England's Tom Lewis (68 for 282).
Ian Poulter finished T21 with a 72 for 284, the same total as Aberdeen-born Michael Sim (73).
Blairgowrie's Bradley Neil had his best round at the fourth attempt - a 67 for 286 and a T31 finish.
Ross Kellett slumped to a fourth-round 75 which pushed him down to a T45 finish.
