Cardrona pair head qualifiers for Handicap

Championship Grand Final

Cardrona's Clayton Collett, who plays off 12, and 14-handicapper Craig Hunter headed the 10 pairs who reached the Grand Final of the Scottish Club Handicap Championship through today's regional qualifier at West Linton Golf Club.
The Grand Final will be played at The Carrick on Friday, October 14.
Collett and Hunter finished well clear of the field of 52 pairs with a better-ball net score of 62, four clear of the joint second placed West Linton (Kerr Middleton and George Young) and Dalbeattie's Kenny Wallach and David McDowall.
Five pairs returned net 68s but to achieve the required number of 10 qualifiers in total, a countback was held and Aegon's Gordon McSorley and Ross Fisher were eliminated.
