ALL-ENGLAND FINAL TO EDEN TOURNAMENT

Geoff Nixon from Carlisle beat Samuel Henfrey (Northamptonshire) by 2 and 1 in an all-England final to the Eden Tournament at St Andrews.

The handicap final for the Eden Tankard also ended in an English success. Gary Beattie, who plays off 15 at Millbrook, beat five-handicapper Neil Murray (Dullatur) at the 20th.
