Daniel Kay finishes top Scot in German 

tournament after Kevin Duncan fades

Dunbar's Daniel Kay was the highest finishing Scot in the German PGA Development Tour's Sparkassen Open at Bochum Golf Club today after Kevin Duncan nosedived to a 77 in the final round.
Kay finished 10 shots behind the 5,000 euros (£4,182) winner Maarten Bosch (Netherlands), winner of a four-man play-off on 16-under 200 with an eagle 3 at the first hole.
The Scot earned 348 euros f(£291) for rounds of 73, 67 and 70 for a six-under-par total of 210 in a low-scoring tournament.
Peterhead's Philip McLean (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) shot 71, 71 and 72 for 214 and a share of 39th place. He earned 285 euros (£238).
Duncan, from Ellon, was heading for a top-20 finish after rounds of 70 and 69 but he slumped to a closing round of 77, including a double bogey 7 at the 18th, for a level par total of 216. He earned 220 euros (£184)
