Fraser Fotheringham wins North District 

Championship at Elgin

ROBIN WILSON REPORTS FROM ELGIN

Fraser Fotheringham (The Nairn) went from being runner-up last year to winner of the North District Championship Cup at Elgin today. 

His second-round 73 added to his first-round 65 gave him a 36-hole total of 138, four strokes clear of  a trio of players in second place, Jake Scott (Moray) 73-69, John Forbes (Muir of Ord) 73-69 and Chris Gaittens (Fortrose and Rosemarkie) 70-72.  

Jake Scott (20)  won the youths championship for the Murray Watt Trophy.
