Crow Wood pair earn trip to Turkey

Crow Wood Golf Club, Glasgow professional Ian Graham and club captain Alexander Paton have won themselves a trip to Turkey to compete in the Grand Final of the Golfplan Insurance Pro-Captain Challenge at Antalya Golf Club's PGA Sultan Course over 36 holes on November 25-26.
Ian and Alexander won the Scottish qualifying round at Haggs Castle Golf Club today by two strokes with a better-ball round of eight-under-par 64.
They had birdies at the first, fourth, seventh, ninth, 11th, 12th , 14th, 15th and 18th with only one bogey, at the second, in halves of 33 and 31.
Runners-up on 66 were Downfield's senior pro Kenny Hutton and captain Bob Ferrier. Their scorecard included a hole in one at the seventh.  But it was a net "ace," Ferrier, who rcceived a stroke at this hole, had a gross 2.
After bogeying the first and third, Hutton and Ferrier covered the remaining 15 holes in a net eight under par.
