SCOTS TRIO TRAIL AT END OF FIRST DAY IN ALPS TOUR EVENT IN ITALY

John Henry, Michael Stewart and James White - the three Scots in the field of 96 are trailing at the end of the first round of this weekend's Alps Tour 54-hole event, the Abruzzo Open at Miglianico Golf and Country Club, Italy.

Henry had a two-over-par 73 to be joint 38th while Stewart (75) and White (76) were tied 61st and 66th respectively.

Ireland's Brian Casey and Diego Suazo (Spain) shared the lead on six-under 65, a shot ahead of Tobias Nemecz (Austria)
