DANIEL SIM SCORES FIRST MEN'S OPEN
VICTORY WITH A 68 AT CRAIBSTONE
Royal
Aberdeen's Daniel Sim, 19, has achieved his first victory in a men's
open tournament at Craibstone Golf Club where his father Billy is the
general manager.
Westhill-based
three-handicapper Daniel shot a creditable one-under-par 68 in
difficult conditions to head a field of 90. Highlight of his card was an
eagle 2 at the par-4 14th. He also had three birdies but
double-bogeyed the 11th and also dropped shots at the first and 18th.
The handicap trophy was won by Craibstone member Jacques Stephen with a net 63 off 10.
