US TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP REPORT AND LINK TO SCORES

BILLY HORSCHEL REPEATS 66 TO GO

TWO CLEAR AT HALFWAY

FROM THE US PGA TOUR WEBSITE
Billy Horschel played his last 10 holes in four under par in today's second round  to open up a two-shot advantage in the US Tour Championship by Coca-Cola.
Horschel, who entered this week at No. 2 in the FedExCup standings following his BMW Championship triumph, is in the driver's seat at East Lake for both the tournament and golf's richest prize -- the FedExCup.
A pair of 66s have the former Florida Gator on top at 8 under.
Overnight co-leader Chris Kirk, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day are two back at 6 under. Kirk (No. 1) and McIlroy (No. 4) are also among the top 5 players who would automatically win the FedExCup with a victory at East Lake.
Day (No. 10) needs a win and some help from the top 5.
Another four players check in four off the pace at 4 under. 2010 FedExCup winner Jim Furyk is joined by Kevin Na, Ryan Palmer and Cameron Tringale at that number.
Horschel started the day with two birdies on his first three holes but gave those shots back with bogeys on Nos. 5 and 7. He made birdie putts of 13 and 25 feet on Nos. 11 and 14 before draining possibly his biggest putt of the day -- a 7-foot par-saver on the par-3 18th.
For the week, he's 6-under on the back nine and just 2 under on the front.
"That's the way it's been lately," said Horschel, who has a win and a runner-up finish in his last two starts.
"I've been playing one side better than the other. I probably should have shot a little lower on the front side today ... But I'll take those two nines again for two more days and see where that gets me."
The way things are shaping up, it would get Horschel the FedExCup, and make him just the second player to win both the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship by Coca-Cola in the same play-offs.
Camilo Villegas also pulled off the feat in 2008, but couldn't overtake Vijay Singh and claim the FedExCup.
