KELLETT QUALIFIES WITH EASE FOR

STAGE 2 OF Q SCHOOL

Motherwell's Ross Kellett qualified with ease from the Stage 1 European Tour Q School tournament at Frilford Heath, Oxfordshire today (Friday) and joins six fellow Scots who qualified at the Roxburghe last week - in Stage 2 at four venues in Spain from November 7 to 10.
Kellett finished joint fourth with a 16-under-par total of 272, made up of rounds of 68, 67, 70 and 67. Over the 72 holes he had two eagles and 18 birdies, six of them in his final rounds.
He finished two shots behind the joint top qualifiers, England's Greg Payne and Daniel Gavins on 270.
The other Scots who survived the third round cut did not make it. Scott Stewart-Catrion finished joint 47th on 286 (72-70-72-72) and Mark Hillson shared 57th place on 287 (70-73-72-72).
The Scots who were already through to Stage 2 are Neil Fenwick, the winner at Roxburghe, amateur Scott Borrowman, Alexander Culverwell, Elliot and Lloyd Saltman, and Paul Shields.
