SEPTEMBER 18 BIG DAY AT CASTLE COURSE, ST ANDREWS
D-Day for DF Communications North-east
Business Golf League finals
NEWS RELEASE
For a few North-east of Scotland business people, golf swings – rather than vote swings – will be to the fore on September 18 this year.
While
the Scottish independence referendum is taking place, they'll taking part in the final of the DF Communications Golf League
on the Castle Course at St Andrews.
DF
Communications, an award-winning mobile phone and communications
specialist to small, medium and large businesses, is sponsoring and
organising the long-running league for a third consecutive year.
Money
raised from this year’s event will go to the British Heart Foundation.
The charity was nominated by Neil Ferguson and Andy Williamson, of
Undersea Sense, who won the 2013 competition.
Craig
Forsyth, sales director at DF Communications, said: “It’s certainly a
big date to have the finals, but I’m sure there will be plenty of time
to get to the polling station and go to St Andrews.
“We’re delighted to be returning to the Castle Course, having hosted the final at the same venue last year. I’m sure those teams lucky enough to make it will thoroughly enjoy their day out."
More
than 40 companies from across the North-east have teed-off at a variety
of local courses since April. The Business Golf League is played in a
four-ball format with five or six teams in each division. The winners and
runners-up of each division qualify for the September finals
