CROW WOOD PLAYER FOLLOWS UP COUNTY MATCH-PLAY VICTORY

Ed Wood
(Crow Wood), pictured above, continued his good run of form by winning the Lady De Robeck Trophy at Carnwath
today with rounds of 66 and 67.
A seven-under-par133 aggregate gave him a five-shot winning margin over
local player Glen McArdle who shot 72- 66.
Callum Harrison of Carluke was third on 138 (69-69).
In midweek
Ed won the Lanarkshire match-play championship at Strathaven.Wood had a spell in the pro ranks four or five years ago. He played on the PGA EuroPro Tour event for a couple of years but, with the entry fee per event in the region of £275, you need to play consistently well to make money.
Ed was reinstated as an amateur in January this year.
