ALPS TOUR EVENT AT ASOLO GOLF CLUB
GALLAGHER TOP SCOT IN ITALY
There are four Scots tour pros who play on the Alps Tour and this week John Gallagher, James White, John Henry and Michael Stewart are competing in the Servizitalia Open at Asolo Golf Club which is in Italy, but which part we have no idea!
Four Italians are sharing the first-round lead with four-under-par 68s.
Gallagher is the best Scot on the day with a 71 (35-36), which included four birdies and three bogeys. The former Scottish amateur champion is T26.
Henry and White are T69 on 74. Henry had halves of 83-36, White 37-37, including a double bogey at the long fifth. He did birdied the ninth and 15th.
Stewart is T114 on 78 (36-42). He had three double bogeys in the space of fiv holes - at the long 12th and par-4 13th and 16th.
