TOP SEED O'HARA THROUGH TO
SEMI-FINALS AT GREENBURN
Top seed Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf), pictured, is through to the semi-finals of the £5,000 Greenburn assistants match-play tournament at the West Lothian club.
Also in the last four are fourth seed Louis Gaughan (Bathgate), O'Hara's opponent on Tuesday morning, and Ross Jack (Dumfries and Galloway), who will play Tim Poyser (Renaissance).
Jack KO'd the No 2 seed, Ciari Porciani (Turnberry Hotel) by 5 and 4 in the first round.
Poyser, 11th of the 16 qualifiers, figured in the longest match of the day. He beat Keir McNicoll (Gullane), joint fifth in the recent PGA assistants championship, at the 20th in the quarter-finals.
Jack is the seventh qualifier.
The winner will earn £900, the beaten finalist £700.
There will be a play-off for the third-place finish.
Third will earn £550, fourth £450.
