CONOR O'NEIL TOP SCOT IN OPEN
REGIONAL QUALIFYING
Conor O'Neil, now playing out of Mearns Castle Golf Academy, had the best score by a Scot in today's Open championship regional qualifying round at Bruntsfield Links, Edinburgh.
O'Neil had a four-under-par 67 to finish second, four shots behind Norwegian Kriistian Johannessen in the list of eight qualifiers for the Open Final Qualifying over 36 holes.
