WHITE EARNS 616 EUROS IN FRANCE
James White from Lundin, Fife finished the leading Scot in the Alps Tour 72-hole event, La Mirabelle d'Or International Open, at Golf de la Grange aux Ormes today (Sunday).
White, who beat the halfway cut with one shot to spare, shared 24th place on six-over 290 with rounds of 72, 75, 70 and 73. He earned 616 euros.
Ayrshire's Michael Stewart finished joint 30th with scores of 75, 68, 75 and 75 for a total of 293. He earned 522 euros.
Edinburgh's John Gallacher earned 412 euros for a joint 39th place with 297 (73, 74, 76 and 74).
There was a French 1-2 with Jean Pierre Verselin taking the 6,525 euros first prize with scores of 69, 67, 70 and 69 for nine-under-par 275, two ahead of compatriot Xavier Poncelet (69-67-69-72).
