Wesselingh took a one-stroke lead at the halfway mark of the Japan
Senior Open Golf Championship, following his opening 71 with a second
round 67.
The Englishman, who is second on the Senior Tour Order of Merit, is six under par at Aso Iizuka Golf Club, with Yoshinori Mizumaki and Kiyoshi Murota his nearest rivals on five under.
Wesselingh’s compatriot Barry Lane is a shot further back after following his opening 68 with a second round of 73.
