NEIL RAYMOND TO TURN PRO IMMEDIATELY AFTER WALKER CUP

NEWS RELEASE
London, 20th August, 2013 - English golfer Neil Raymond has announced that he has signed a long term, exclusive representation contract with 4SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT, the leading Swiss sports management agency.
It has been recently revealed that Raymond, from Corhampton Golf Club in Hampshire, will be a member of the GB&I Walker Cup team as they prepare to travel to the National Golf Links of America in order to retain the cup previously won in 2011.

Neil has had an undeniably impressive golf career to date including a number of titles won on the amateur circuit. Since 2010 he has also been a key member of the England Elite squad.

Neil made history in 2012 when he became the first player for more than 20 years to successfully defend the title for the Brabazon Trophy at Walton Heath Golf Course. In the same year, he was selected for the Home Internationals and Eisenhower Trophy Team in Turkey where he finished in the top 10 as an individual. It was a culmination of all these results that eventually lead to him winning the 2012 Titleist & FootJoy Order of Merit.

His impressive performances continued steadily into 2013 when, early in the year, Neil reached the final of the Spanish Amateur as well as the quarter final rounds of the Australian Amateur. However, the highlight of the year came in June when he took home the trophy at the St Andrew Links Championship. Following this success, Neil made it through to the quarter finals of the British Amateur and was a pivotal member of the six man group who successfully fought off 15 other nations in order to come out victorious at the European Teams Challenge held in Denmark. Most recently he was honoured as co-medallist when he topped the stroke play leader board at the US Amateur Championship at The Country Club, Brookline, going on to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament after an impressive run of matchplay.

Raymond will turn professional following the conclusion of the Walker Cup and will participate in a number of tournaments across Europe before heading to compete in European Tour Qualifying School later in the year.

On signing with 4SPORTS, Neil commented: 'I am very excited to be working alongside 4sports. I continue to be impressed by the personal approach that they adopt towards management and feel confident knowing that I have the experience of their team supporting me when the time comes for me to turn professional.'

Marcus Day, Managing Director of the 4sports Golf Division added: 'Neil has an exciting future ahead of him, evidenced by the string of results he has achieved over the past few years. We are all looking forward to welcoming him to the 4sports team.'
