TATIANIA FLYING FROM FLORIDA TO PLAY IN PAUL LAWRIE LADIES' TOUR EDINBURGH DOUBLE-HEADER

The Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Scottish Ladies Open Tour has received its first entry from the United States of America.
She is Gstaad, Switzerland-born Tatiania Kernen who lives at Vero Beach, Florida.
Tatiania turned pro last year and has played a handful of events on the Gunslinger.com Tour over there.
She has not won any money yet, but that's not surprising as the Gunslinger.com Tour is a very competitive circuit of which the membership is predominantly MEN!
She has also played on the SunCoast Ladies Series tour in Florida (we published results from that on www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk)
She will also make her debut on the LETAS Tour here in Europe in May.
Tatiania, pictured, will fly over from Florida to Edinburgh to play in the opening PLGC SLOT events - on April 18 - at Marriott Dalmahoy and also the second leg of the Edinburgh double-header, Ratho Park on April 19.
"I have never been in Scotland and I am really looking forward to
seeing what I have been told in a country with lovely scenery," said Tatiana.
"At the moment we have 23 entries for the Marriott Dalmahoy launch when we expect a big Media presence. That figure of 23 is made up of 14 professionals and nine amateurs," said co-organiser Colin Farquharson who has been seeking for many frustrating years to set up just such a ladies/girls only golf circuit.
"The prize fund of £3,000 is based on an entry of 30 players - so we need another SEVEN entries from somewhere. Entries close a week before each tournament so there is not all that much time left for players to make up your mind.
"Fingers crossed we can get SEVEN more players from somewhere.
What are YOU doing on April 18-19?
"Remember, the Paul Lawrie Ladies Tour is almost unique in that no membership fee is charged and entry fees for the tournaments do not have to be paid until the draw for the relevant tournament has been published on this website and also www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk
"We are the most player-friendly tour on the planet."

Playing a mixture of Amateur Events, LET/Access Events and your Scottish Ladies Open Golf Tour this year.
At this moment I am available and have entered Downfield, Carnoustie, Blairgowrie, Alyth, Fairmont and The Duke's events.
Hopefully the PLGC SLOT generates  more interest, fingers crossed.
Regards
Kelsey

TONI of the SLGA to play later in season

Antonia (Toni) Melvin-Ffinch, the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association's Championship Manager, is hoping to play in some of the later events on the PLGC SLOT when she is not so busy going her day job.
Toni is a qualified PGA professional.

 E-mail from Stuart Mactaggart

I have to commend you and Nicola for organising the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre Scottish Ladies Open Tour. A wonderful thought and my daughter Tara Mactaggart will be supporting the tour at every moment exams permitting over the summer.

Despite negativity from some quarters, I am supporting the idea wholeheartedly. Well done!

E-mail from Pamela Pretswell

To clarify my roots - I was born in Lanark, but live in Hamilton.
Looking forward to playing in the Paul Lawrie events - unfortunately most of them clash with LET events but should be able to play in about four to six of them, starting at Downfield and Carnoustie in July.
Hope tour prep is going well. All the best with it.
