*Star prize to be won at Inverallochy by the leading professional or assistant professional - a free trip, hotel accommodation, meals and golf at the inaugural Tunisia Golf Festival at Hammamet from February 9 to 16.

The R and A declared the prize worth more than the Amateur Status limit of £500 in value which meant it can only go to a professional or assistant professional.

Next year, maybe, we will have worked out a way to get the leading amateur to Tunisia within the Amateur Status Rules.
