ROSS KELLETT SIXTH WITH A ROUND TO GO IN CARIBBEAN
Motherwell's Ross Kellett slumped to sixth place with a five-bogey third round of 73 in the Alps Tour event in the unlikely setting of the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe today . Kellett was only two shots behind leader Jack Senior (Heysham) at the halfway stage in the Guadeloupe Open after earlier rounds of 67 and 68. The Scot's total of six-under-par 207 dropped him 10 shots behind Walker Cup hero Senior, already a winner on the Alps Tour since he turned pro. The Lancashire man has so far shot 65-68-64 for 16-under-par 197. He leads by six shots from Spaniard Javier De Lope (70-67-66). Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol, like Kellett a rookie pro, is tied for 34th place on 218 with scores of 69-73-78.
