Russell Knox, the only Scot campaigning on the Nationwide Tour - the No 2 US pro circuit - earned $23,381 for a joint seventh place finish on Sunday in the Cox Classic at Champions Run, Omaha, Nebraska.
The Inverness exile had scores of 64, 65, 68 and 68 over a par-71 course for a total of 265.
Knox finished only three shots behind the winner of the top $130,000 prize, American J J Kileen who scored 66, 64, 63 and 69 for 262.
If Knox can keep it up, he has a good chance of joining compatriot Martin Laird on the US PGA Tour.
The top 20 - it may be 25 - moneywinners for the season on the Nationwide Tour gain automatic promotion to the US Tour, which is how Laird got into the Big League.
