PETERCULTER DOUBLE WHAMMY IN PAUL
LAWRIE JUNIOR JUG GRAND FINAL
Peterculter's Andrew Carrell won the Paul Lawrie Junior Jug Grand Final with a level par round of 72 over the Newmachar Hawkshill course on Saturday.
He won by two shots from Connor Syme (Dumfries and Co), Euan Walker (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Charlie MacNeal (Troon Welbeck).
Carrell's Peterculter clubmate George Colleran won the top handicap award with a net 66 off 11. He won with a better inward half than Lachlan Imrie (The Glen), playing off 12. Blair Milne (Inchmarlo) was third with a net 70 off nine.
CSS was 74.
Paul Lawrie Foundation Team member David Law, Scottish boys' and men's champion last year, made the presentations in the absence of Paul Lawrie, on TV commentator duty at the Ryder Cup.
