Bill Law, a well-known figure on the swimming and diving scene in Edinburgh and a past captain of Duddingston Golf Club, has died at the age of 75.
During a distinguished diving career, Law was Scottish champion or runner-up during an unbroken run form 1951-64 and competed in the 1958 Commonwealth Games in Cardiff.

He was instrumental in setting up the City of Edinburgh Diving Club in 1971, serving as its president for the first 10 years. He was also a past president of the Warrender Baths Club and earlier this year received one of diving's greatest honours, the LEN Silver Pin, from the world governing body in recognition of his contribution to the sport.
He is survived by his wife Marion and three children – Suzanne, Fiona and David.
His funeral will take place at Warriston Crematorium at 11am on Tuesday, December 29.
