Amateur Scott Mann wins

Midland Alliance at Montrose with

a four-under-par 65

This week the amateurs showed the professionals the way in the Midland Golfers Alliance competition at Montrose Links.
Best scratch score was a fine, four-under-par round of 65 by Scott Mann, the +2 Carnoustie player, pictured on right by Cal Carson Golf Agency. He finished two shots ahead of another amateur, Monifieth's Martin Brown.
Leading the way in the handicap returns was Sandy Mitchell (St Andrews) with a net score of 65 off 13.
