Lee Harper wins top prize of

£840 in Royal Dornoch

Masters for young pros

Former Scottish boys' match-play champion Lee Harper from Musselburgh, now attached to Archerfield Links, scooped the first prize of £840 in the Royal Dornoch Masters for young professionals.

Harper, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had rounds of 68 and 70 for a two-underpar total of 138. He won by three shots from runner-up and overnight leader Craig Matheson (Falkirk Tryst). Craig scored 66 and 74 for one-over 141 and earned £644.

James McGhee (Turnhouse) collected £504 for third place on 142 with scores of 67 and 75.
