Gary Harvey Trophy holders Perth & Kinross had to stage a late rally to beat Angus 5 1/2-2 1/2 on the first day of the quadrangular inter-county boys' golf tournament over the Balwearie course, Kirkcaldy today.
In the other match, Clackmannan, the underdogs, beat the host county, Fife, 4 1/2-3 1/2.
