GRAY BREAKS INVERNESS PRO
RECORD WITH EIGHT-UNDER 61

Stephen Gray (Hayston) won the Orion Group SPCA pro-am over Inverness Golf Club's Culcabock course with an eight-under-par score of 61, which shave a stroke off the professional record for the Culcabock course.
He won the £850 top prize by two shots from Scott Henderson (Kings Links) with home course tour pro Murray Urquhart third on 65. Henderson received £675 and Urquhart £500.

Gray, pictured above by Cal Carson Golf Agency, had an eagle 3 at the par-5 fifth and an eagle 2 at the par-4 (333yd) and birdies at the first, third, fourth, sixth and 11th. He had one bogey - at the ninth.
The previous pro record of 62 was set by Nigel Scott-Smith in 1996.
Former Walker Cup player Lindsay Mann (Carnoustie) led the G-Force Electrical amateur trio of Gordon Ross (handicap 12), Ian Grant (14) and Richard McGillivray (18) to victory in the team event with a better-ball net score of 18-under-par 51.
