TORRENTIAL RAIN DISRUPTS EUROPRO
TOUR EVENT AT WHITTLEBURY PARK

The Ivobank PGA EuroPro Tour event at Whittlebury Park was hit by a three hour delay after torrential rain forced the players off the course.
Play had already been suspended at 10.30am for thirty minutes earlier in the day when the heavens opened again at 3pm and prevented play until 6.15pm after the greens staff had worked tirelessly to make the soaked course playable.
With question marks over the weather for the rest of the tournament, Robert Perrett (Clevedon GC), Simon Thornton (Royal County Down) and Robert Steele (Kenilworth GC) will be very pleased to be in the clubhouse at three under (68).
All the groups have begun their rounds but with the light deteriorating rapidly, play is unlikely to go on much longer and a large number of groups will have to finish their rounds when play resumes at 7.30am on Thursday morning.
