wins Volvo/Ayrshire Hospice
36-holer by two shots
Chris Doak, man of the moment on the Tartan Tour, chalked up another success - his fifth win in an Order of Merit event, when he finished two shots clear of the field in the Volvo/Ayrshire Hospice 36-hole tournament at West Kilbride.
The 30-year-old Northern Open champion and leading money-winner this season had a second-r0und 66 (five under par) for an 11-under-par total of 131.
Halfway leader Jason McCreadie (Buchanan Castle), the Gleneagles Scottish PGA champion, finished second on 133.
Doak was two behind McCreadie after 11 holes of the final round but overhauled him down the home straight to claim the first prize of £3,065 which clinches the 2008 PGA Scottish Region money title for Chris.
David Orr (East Renfrewshire) shared third place with Dean Robertson (Mearns Castle) on 135.
Robert Arnot (Bishopbriggs) finished well with a 66 to be fifth on 136.
