Gordon Stevenson (67) leads in Eden
Trophy qualifying at St Andrews

US college student Daniel Sommervilla (St Andrews) opened his Eden Trophy campaign with a level par round of 70 over the Eden course.
Gordon Stevenson (Whiteceraigs) led the first round field over the Eden course with a 67.
Steve Brown from Liverpool is the defending champion. He had a 73 at the Eden.
The top 64 after Tuesday's second qualifying round - the Eden and the New are used for the qualifying - go forward to the match-play stages.
