Jay Taylor finds form with a 68
on German satellite circuit
Little-known Scottish professional Jay Taylor was lying joint fifth on four-under-par 68 in the first round of the Coburg Brose Open, the current 54-hole event on the German satellite tour, the Renault EPD Tour, at GC Coburg Schloss Tambach, Weitransdorf.
Leading the field at eight-under 64 was Germany's Christoph Gunter, two ahead of Mexican Cesar Corello.
On 67 were Germany's Nike Ferrari and Denmark's Philip Drost.
Taylor had a brilliant outward half of five-under-par 31, but dropped shots at the 13th and 15th before finishing with a sixth birdie at the 18th.
It is a welcome change of form for Taylor who is lying 82nd in the Renault EPD Tour Order of Merit with only 415 Euros 50 Cents income from five previous events.
