KNOX JOINT EIGHTH WITH ONE ROUND
TO GO IN GUATEMALA OPEN
Russell Knox from Inverness was lying joint eighth after three rounds of the $200,000 Guatemala International Open, one of the NGA Hooters' Tour's overseas events, at San Isidro Country Club, Guatemala City.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based Scot had rounds of 71, 77 and 72 for a four-over-par tally of 220 - six shots behind James Vargas from Miami, tournament leader by one shot with rounds of 69, 70 and 75 for 214.
Niall Turner from Cork, Ireland was in joint 11th place on 221 with scores of 74, 71 and 76.
David Skinns from Lincoln was in 63rd place after scores of 78, 76 and 82 for 236.
Glasgow's Scott Jamieson failed by one shot to make the halfway cut after scores of 78 and 77 for 155.
