ROUND TO GO IN CALIFORNIA
English students Chris Paisley and Charles Ford, both at the University of Tennessee, were lying joint eighth and 69th respectively in a field of 80 players with one round to go in the USC Collegiate Invitational tournament at North Ranch Country Club, Westlake Village in Southern California.
Paisley, pictured right, from Newcastle, has scored 77 and 71 for 148 over the par-71, 6869 course. Ford, from Leicester, has had rounds of 82 and 80 for 162.,
Jason D'Amore (Loyola Marymount) leads by three shots with 74 and 67 for 141.
Darren Wallace (Washington) is in second place with 74 and 70 for 144.
Southern California (591) lead from Pepperdine (596) with Brigham Young (601) third and Stanford (602) fourth.
Tennessee (604) are in seventh position in a field of 14 teams.
