More views on the way ahead for N E Alliance

At least one North-east Alliance regular competitor does not agree with the Editor's suggestion - and it was only a suggestion - that perhaps in the months of decreasing daylight hours, there should be two North-east Alliance fixtures a week - Class 1 amateurs and pros on a Wednesday; Class 2 amateurs on a Tuesday or Thursday. As well as playing golf in the Alliance, we also use the Wednesday to socialise. There are six in our group, handicaps ranging from 15 to five. Therefore if the Alliance fields were ever split, we would lose part of our group, in which case we might feel it would be better to move away from the Alliance meetings and join another or make our own arrangements.
