McLeary, Whiteford, Murray all have best scores so far

SCOTS TRIO DOING QUITE NICELY
IN ARGENTINE OPEN

Scotland's three players in the Argentine Open are doing quite nicely in this the opening event of the 2006-2007 European Challenge Tour.
Jamie McLeary and Peter Whiteford at bracketed in 28th place on 218 while George Murray, playing in his first ever event as a professional, is joint 43rd on 222 at Pilar Golf Club, near Buenos Aires.
Jamie had one of the better third-round scores, a three-under-par 68 after rounds of 72 and 78. Peter also had his best score so far, a level par 71 and 72 and 75.
George followed the lead of his compatriots with a 71 after a pair of 75s.
At the top, it's a Argentina take-over with Ricardo Gonzalez setting the pace on seven-under-par 206 after a 67. He is three shots clear of fellow-Argentinian Rafael Echenique (66 for 209).
