ASIAN TOUR QUALIFYING SCHOOL STAGE ONE

HERE'S HOW MANY WILL GO
FORWARD FROM EACH OF
THE THREE VENUES

Clarification this morning from Shenton Gomez, Press Officer of the Asian Tour, with regard to the Stage 1 Qualifying School process which started yesterday and in which there are several Scots playing, including Graham Gordon and Euan McIntosh from Newmachar. Scroll down to see how they got on in the first round.

Shenton points out that there are THREE courses being used for Stage 1, not two as we suggested in our earlier report. We could not get scores from a third venue - Pattan Golf & Sports Resort - yesterday but it turns out that there are no Scots in that field.

Here is the breakdown of how many will qualify for the Final Q School from Stage 1:

Emerald Club (field of 86) - Top 13 and ties go forward.
Plutaluang (field of 84) - Top 13 and ties go forward.
Pattana G&S Resort (field of 104) - Top 16 and ties go forward.

We'll have the second-round scores for you around tea-time today.
