GORDON, KELLY AND PAUL DOHERTY
SURVIVE 36-HOLE CUT AT UFFORD PARK
Graham Gordon , Chris Kelly and Paul Doherty qualified for the final round of the PGA EuroPro Tour event – the MCP Classic – at Ufford Park, Norfolk today.
Gordon, pictured left, shot 68 and 73 for 141 and 19th equal place on one over par. He had halves of 37 and 36 today when wind and rain made it tougher going for the later starters.
Sharing 28th place on 142 is Chris Kelly with 69 and 73. He had a double bogey 6 at the fourth, also in halves of 37 and 36.
Paul Doherty is also on 142 with a pair of 71s.
A total of 51 players with tallies of four-over-par 144 or better survived the 36-hole cut.
Scots who did not make it were Ricky Gray (145), Graeme Brown (149), Stephen Lamb (151), Stephen Gray (157) and Jack Doherty on 160.
John Morgan has shot five shots clear of the field with a superb second round of 63 for an 11-under-par tally of 129. John had a hole in one with a nine-iron at the 150yd 16th.
Darren Prosser comes next with 69 and 65 for 134.
Third-placed Roger Winchester matched leader Morgan’s 63 for a tally of 135.
